It is with profound sadness that we must report that William (Bill Sr.) Holton has passed away. Bill was a central figure in the life of the Tamahaac Club for decades, just like his father and grandfather before him.
Many of us remember Bill for his regular 25s at the shooting hut and his warm presence on Wednesday evenings. Bill was one of those rare individuals who could move easily from discussing the state of the capital markets and the importance of a steadily rising stream of dividends to the pleasure of swimming sans clothes in Georgian Bay. What many members may not know is that Bill took an active interest in the betterment of our Club and in recent years offered your Board insightful advice on how to grow membership and increase participation. We will always be grateful for his contributions and his friendship.
Our deepest sympathies to Marion, the Holton, Davidson and Hunter families for their loss which is deeply shared by all of us who knew Bill.
A celebration of life will take place 1:30pm at the Tamahaac on Saturday, November 17th 2018.
